One life, Live well!

1) One Life, Live Well!

When Anne Marshall and Carola Cooper decided to fulfill their dream of opening a coffee shop and wellness center, LifeThyme Café and Wellness was born. Located in Palm Coast’s Citywalk, this new café and wellness center offers customers a unique blend of products and services. LifeThyme offers solutions for health and wellness issues and an excellent line of fair trade, organic teas and coffees, in an inviting and rejuvenating atmosphere.

Both Anne and Carola bring years of education and experience to LifeThyme, while doing double duty as Owner and Wellness Director respectively. Anne owned a successful bodywork and craniosacral practice and taught for 18 years at the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville. In addition to craniosacral work*, Anne maintains an herbal practice at LifeThyme. Herbal consultations focus on the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle including sleep, nutrition, exercise, hydration, and emotional balance. She addresses an individual’s specific concerns, which could include stress, depression, anxiety, hormone imbalances, and increasing health and vitality. Anne formulates her exclusive line of teas, herbal remedies and skin care products, all of which are for sale at LifeThyme.

Carola owned her own therapeutic massage and personal training practice prior to opening LifeThyme with Anne. Her impressive resumé includes a degree in Exercise Science from McMaster University in Canada, education at the Florida School of Massage, specialized training in core conditioning with the CHEK Institute in California and training in the Active Release Technique. Carola doesn’t just study exercise and physical fitness, she lives it; she was a member of the 2004 Bermuda Olympic sailing team and has competed worldwide. Carola’s expertise focuses on therapeutic massage: reflexology; sports massage; Swedish massage; neuromuscular therapy; and connective tissue damage; and Functional Training**. Carola creates individualized and group functional/fitness programs for all levels of ability and organizes the workshops and classes for the Wellness Center.

Some may question the compatibility of a coffee shop and wellness center. Anne and Carola encourage everyone to visit LifeThyme. They will discover a café encouraging the health benefits of massage, herbal remedies and delicious beverages with homemade treats. This is a warm, comfortable, and friendly environment focused on helping you to “live your one life well,” physically, mentally, and emotionally. A visit to LifeThyme is a great gift for yourself or a group of your friends.

Anne and Carola envision LifeThyme becoming an integral part of their customers’ lives and the Palm Coast community. It is a place to relax, rejuvenate, take fitness classes and herbal seminars, and indulge in a massage or individualized functional training session. LifeThyme Café and Wellness truly has something for everyone. Anne, Carola, and staff look forward to bringing their passion and expertise to the customers of LifeThyme. They also encourage you to visit their website, www.lifethymewellness.com for current class offerings and specials.

*Craniosacral Work, promotes deep relaxation of the nervous system and facilitates the body’s ability to achieve and maintain health by focusing on the central nervous system. The typical session lasts 60 to 90 minutes and can be especially helpful for conditions such as headaches, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, car accident recovery, and temporomandibular join pain/dysfunction.

**Functional Training is any type of exercise that has a direct relationship to the activities performed in daily life. This training is perfect for anyone: an athlete, office worker, or a stay at home mom who wants to pick up her children without injury.
